NINE NAGA DEVATHAS MENTIONED IN PURANAS & WORSHIPED!
In the Indian culture, Cobras (Nagas) are also worshippable deities.
Rahu and Ketu are considered to be the Nagas that gives the reactions of karma for every person by sitting in a house that have to be affected.
The main activity of Rahu anjd Ketu are corrupting/ delaying the goodness of the house in which they are sitting.
Even Lord Balarama has the form as Sankarshana that is also a naga.
Most of the Nagas have taken part in the Lilas of Krishna.
Now, let us read the nine nagas (Nava nagas) that are mentioned in Puranas:
Ananta,
Vasuki,
Shesha,
Padmanabh,
Kambal,
Shankhapal,
Dhrutrashtra,
Takshaka and
Kalia.
