FOUR VARNAS - DUTIES

Brahmana  :   Preaching Vedic scriptures, Performing vedic rituals & Guiding others.

Kshatriya  :  Protecting the country - entirely and Locally.

Vaishya  :  Farming, Milk Production and Trading.

Sudra:  Working and earning as salaries.

FOUR ASHRAMAS - QUALITIES (AS SAID BY YAMA)

Brahmachari  :  Guru Seva - Learning Vedic knowledge.

Grahastha  :  Giving Dhaan (Donation) to Brahmanas and Poor.

Vanaprastha  :  Fasting (Upavasa)

Sanyasi ;  Being Patient -  Uplifting his disciples.
