 How to give Krishna consciousness to small children of age less than 12?

 “A Girl devotee” asked like this:

 “How 2 make kids understand all these (Spritual) teachings when they r not ready to listen (Less than 12 years)”

REPLY:

(1) Don’t speak great secrets about sprituality to the Children.  

(2) Tell them Krishna Katha , ie, stories about Krishna.  

(3) Advise them to offer prayers to Krishna daily after waking up and before going to school.   

(4) Ask them to chant JUST ONE ROUND a day initially.  

(5) Picture stories are available in ISKCON temples for children.   Purchase and give them.   

(6) Take them to temple atleast once a week and let them play there along with other devotee children..  That is enough for children.   

(7) Don’t dump all you read to them.  They will become frustrated in life if you teach advanced topics in childhood period.  It will give negative result.   Stop with stories , chanting, prayers.  Enough.  Concepts can be taught after 16.

(8) Let them memorize the kirtans, slokas,, etc, because this childhood has good memory.

These 8 tips can make the children under 12 good devotees in future.
