Can one change his nature acquired by birth by chanting Krishna's Names? 

One can definitely change his nature by chanting.

How?

If your horoscope says that you are short tempered, your sincere chanting can make you calm and stable in all situations.

If your horoscope says that you are going to face troubles in marriage life, your sincere chanting may even alter your karma and  keep you a bachelor all the time to protect you from the troubles in marriage life.

If your horoscope says that you are going to fail in the exams, your sincere chanting may give you fame in another field that does not require education.

If your horoscope says that you are destined to face an accident, your sincere chanting may even stop you from travel and save you.

Thus, chanting Krishna’s Names keeps our past karma under suspension. You will be under the protection of Krishna only until you are chanting sincerely.

Most of the devotees of present age were performing many sinful activities in their past.  Even Valmiki, the compiler of Valmiki Ramayana was a thief in his past.
