Will reading Garuda Purana and Mahabharatha cause death or quarrels in the family?

MYTH-1:

Can we read Garuda Purana  regularly? Will any of our relative die if we read it?

FACT:  Garuda Purana is the book of secrets of our life after our leaving this body.  It is said by Krishna Himself to Garuda.  This is the wonderful book I have read many times.  In the last 10 years, I have read Garuda Purana atlelast for 7-8 times.   But, no death happened in my family.  So,  pooh-pooh if anyone says not to read Garuda Purana.  They are offending against the words of Krishna.  How reading the words of Krishna be punishable?

Think it over. In fact, if a person reads Garuda Purana, he will stop sinning and lead a pure life.  Such a wonderful book it is.

MYTH-2:

Some say that if we keep & read Mahabharatha and Bhagavad Gita in our home, there will be quarrels in our family very often.

FACT:   This is also foolishness.  Mahabharath is an ithikas, that means “It happened”.  So, Mahabharatha is the real story.  As ordinary people will find difficult to understand the vedas,  Krishna Himself , as Vyasa dev,  wrote Mahabharatha that explains  vedic instructions along with the stories.  Bhagavad Gita is also a part of Mahabharatha.

Any story about Krishna is very auspicious.  So, reading Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharatha  will not create problems in your family.  The problems arise because of our karma and wrong decisions.

In fact these books brings down our material attachments so that we can go closer to God.

So, read Garuda Purana and Mahabharatha without fear keeping them in your home.
